Our mission

Shepherd’s Table, an Apostolate for Supporting our Priests

“The worker is worthy of his food.” Matthew 10:10

When Jesus sent His disciples, He invited them to trust completely in Divine Providence. He sent them out with almost nothing — no gold, no bag for the journey — teaching them to rely on the kindness of those they would serve.

This is our chance to respond generously to our priests’ sacrifices with love, gratitude, and a wonderful meal.

Frequently asked questions

What is Shepherd's Table?

Shepherd's Table is a Regnum Christi apostolate in Cumming, Georgia. Families and friends provide a weekly community meal, sponsor dinners and bring groceries for the priests and missionaries of the Cumming House, so they are cared for the way they care for us.

Who receives the meals?

The priests and missionaries of the Cumming House — about 12 people: 9 priests and 3 missionary men of the Legionaries of Christ and Regnum Christi Atlanta. The community meal is on Mondays.

How do I sign up to provide a meal?

Go to Provide a Meal, pick an open Monday on the calendar, enter your details and tell us what you plan to bring. You get an e-mail confirmation with a private link to view or cancel your sign-up, and a reminder two days before.

How many people do I cook for, and are there dietary needs?

Plan for 12. The house prefers gluten-free and low-carb options, and they enjoy dessert on community day. Deliver the meal hot around 6:30 PM, or earlier with heating instructions.

How does sponsoring a meal work?

A monthly gift of $17 covers a place at the table; 96 sponsors fund the whole weekly meal for a year. Gifts go through Regnum Christi Atlanta's designated-gift page — please write "Donation for Shepherd's Table" in the comment field so it reaches this fund. One-time gifts are welcome too.

Where do I deliver a meal or groceries?

To the Cumming House, 4170 Tyler Madison Trail, Cumming, GA 30041. The current grocery list and delivery details are on the Provide Groceries and Provide a Meal pages.

Can I change or cancel my sign-up?

Yes. Your confirmation e-mail has a private link that shows your sign-up and lets you cancel it, which frees the date for another family. Please cancel as early as you can.
